A BRIEF INTRODUCTION: EVERY DAY IS AN OCCASION

  Ladies and gentleman,
(and every one of us who rebukes discrete categorization),
presenting ELECTRIC VELVET:
a cosmic collaboration and celebration of Las Vegas street style!

A brief introduction:
Pleased to meet you, dear reader,

We are the ladies behind the Electric Lemonade Shop and the Velveteen Rabbit Bar, and we want to show you (and this city) off!

Las Vegas has an illustrious tradition of fearlessness, unfettered independence and unparalleled glitz and glamour.  But no need to lament the stylish sophistication and garish trends of our past;  this ethos is alive and well, visible if you keep your eyes (and minds) open.  Sure, there are other local sites with photos taken in exclusive clubs and overpriced bars, each replete with hyper-constructed, repetitive poses and redundant aesthetics.

Put simply, this is not that.  Instead, we'll be featuring both profiles and fashion philosophies of friends, casual acquaintances and dapper strangers encountered on the street (and in other pedestrian, local venues), who inspire us to do and look our very best.

By celebrating individuality and taste, we hope to proliferate ways of encountering this world with style.  After all, inspiration is infectious; it's the very best social contagion.
